Blackface Singer attacks 2face Idibia, threatens to sue him over song theft

The former members of the defunct group, Plantashun Boiz, have had issues in the past over song ownership, with Blackface earlier claiming one of 2face Idibia’s hit songs ‘African Queen’.

After apologizing to his former wife Toni Payne on January 22, 2015 and stating that she never cheated on him when they were married, 9ice has also apologized to rapper Ruggedman.
In an interview with Sunday Sun, 9ice said “I’m talking in terms of peace and in terms of settling grudges. I’m talking about Ruggedman, I’m talking about Toni Payne and I’m talking about my saga with the press. Whatever has happened as from today I’m putting behind me and setting new standards; I’m living a new life.
9ice went on to speak on what caused the six-year-old rift with Rugged Man. “I think what brought about the issue with the press is due to a song I released entitled, Once Beaten Twice Shy. That song came out at a time I was having marital problems. Some people picked up stuff in the song and said ‘okay, he must be talking about Ruggedman.’ And before you could say Jackie Robinson, it was everywhere! That was the only problem I had with Ruggedman. Let me state that Ruggedman and Tony Payne issue never arose; it was never an issue. I’m mature now. I have a family now. To err is human but to forgive is divine. I’m using this platform to apologise to my friend from another mother, Stephens Ugochukwu aka Ruggedman. And to the press I’m saying I’m very sorry, you guys should just forgive me. If I have offended you in anyway, I’m very sorry.
The Alapomeji singer also said there is a strong possibility of him doing a song with Rugged Man. In 2007 Rugged Man featured 9ice on his single ‘Ruggedy Baba’.
When he was asked if there’s any possibility of him hooking up with Toni Payne again 9ice said “Getting back together depends on what you mean. Right now, she has forgiven me and I have forgiven her. She’s moving ahead and I’m moving ahead but we have a son to rise, and that’s the most important thing right now. Whether she will settle in my house is something I can’t tell for now; we can only wait and see.
At the beginning of the year 9ice said he is still friends with Toni Payne.

"They haven't detected any cancer, but sometimes the cancer spots [return], including in my brain," the former US president opened up about the struggle he still faces with Entertainment Tonight's Brooke Anderson during the Painting, Paula [Deen] and a President fundraiser this weekend.
"I'll continue that until the doctors tell me I don't have to anymore," said the 91-year retired politician, adding, "My immune system seems to be responding positively."

Carter has been a huge inspiration for others battling cancer  but says he's received inspiration from his wife, Rosalynn Carter.
"Her support has helped me the last 69 years that we've been married, in everything I've tried," Carter shared. "Of course when I was ill, they thought I might die any time, and she was there for me. She grieved with me and was excited with me when I found out that my metabolism responded well to the treatment."

As we earlier reported, Carter revealed that his brain cancer was gone in December and that an MRI showed no signs of cancer at all. It seems that the announcement may have been premature, but the former president shows no signs of backing down in his battle against the illness.

How Vic O stole my song

The untold tale of how rapper Vic O killed my musical ambition.

Let me reveal something to you guys. I once nursed the ambition to become a music star. I wanted to sing hit records. I wanted to be popular. Sadly, I don’t have that dream anymore because it was stolen from me by that joke called Vic O.
Years ago in a time not too long ago, I had written my killer songs. These were hot bangers and tracks I had composed with sweat, blood and tears. After stuffing my notepad with my witty lines, catchy hooks and mind boggling conceptual songs I looked for a studio that was at par with my musical brilliance.

After a few months I found one called ‘You Be Mugu’ music studio in a coded place in Lagos. Forget the name; this studio was of international standard. It had everything including a maverick producer and a studio engineer of world class repute.
Happy that I found the studio I took my last money on Earth and paid for three studio sessions. In these three studio sessions I recorded my killer three tracks that would shake the world to its foundation.

Everybody in the studio loved my songs including two artistes named DK and BF. The studio cleaner and toilet cleaner we called Victor O also went gaga over my tracks.

Due to my songwriting prowess DK and BF told me to help them co-write their tracks called ‘Ojuelegba’, and ‘Final’. They were back to back hits before they were even mixed and mastered.
Sadly all these five songs never saw the light of day. Later that night when the studio was closed, Victor O broke into the studio and stole all the hard drives. The little rascal took an early morning bus to his village before finally absconding to Italy.
I was devastated. I was sad. I almost committed suicide. My brilliant works stolen from me just like that.
When I thought I had gotten over the loss, an artiste named Vic O from Italy popped up with the songs I had written. The gems I constructed ‘Why Evils’, and ‘After Party’ this idiot destroyed it with his accent. To make matters worse these songs made him popular, very popular.
Such is life. Why didn’t I collect my songs that night? Why didn’t I tell the engineer and producer to delete the data? I was stupid. I still feel pangs of sadness anytime I hear my poorly delivered classics ‘Why Evils’, and ‘After Party’.
As for DK and BF I hear the songs I co-wrote for them on radio. They are smash hits! Unfortunately Victor O sold it to some artistes who are now making correct money off the stolen tracks.
‘You Be Mugu’ studio is still open today with many artistes recording their killer tracks there.
